Description
Responsible for assuring sterility and availability of all surgical
instruments and items that sterilized in the department, for
patient care use in Surgical Services department and other nursing
departments as required.
Required Education:
High School diploma or GED
Preferred Education:
Associates Degree
Required Technical Skills:
Ability to read, write and follow instructions, strong
organizational skills.
Preferred Technical Skills:
Meditech, basic computer skills
Required Licensure /Registration /Certification:
Certification in Sterile Processing from an accredited
organization
Preferred Licensure / Registration / Certification:
Certification for Basic Life Support within 6 months of hire
date
Preferred Experience:
One or more year's experience as a CST in a hospital Operating
Room.
