Position Summary:

Alamo Group Texas located in Seguin, TX is currently receiving applications for internships from university and college students who are looking to gain valuable, on the job knowledge in an area that corresponds with their field of study. This temporary role will work under general supervision of a manager performing tasks that support the educational growth and development of the intern through project based work that improves the organizations processes, work flow, procedures, etc.

We are currently looking to hire summer interns dedicated to the following fields of study and work: Engineering, Purchasing, Quality Management and Accounting.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Support the manager and team within the corresponding area of study through project-based work
• Initiate and drive process improvement work of the organization
• Train all applicable employees on possible process changes
• May be required to perform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
• Computer software, Office 365 products - Excel, Word, Power Point and Teams.
• Applicable software and programs corresponding to field of study
• Strong communication skills - speech, verbal and written.
• Strong teamwork skills. Must be able to present and discuss project progress plus modify to requests.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills are preferred.Education and Experience:
• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Accounting, Business or related field
• Customer ServiceWorking Conditions:
• Frequent sitting or standing for extended period of time. Standard office environment. Occasional to frequent walking in and around manufacturing plant.
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds alone and greater than 35 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to wear appropriate PPE, including hearing / eye protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed to complete job assignments.
• Must be able to work in the office and non-climate-controlled shop at any time.
