Description Provides consistent oversight of the Riverwalk Landing (RWL) Parking Terrace in addition to providing quality customer service to visitors and residents. Assists Yorktown beach guests with locating authorized parking in the area. Answers visitor questions, provides maps, directions, and information on the free trolley service. Monitors the RWL Parking Terrace and the length of time that authorized vehicles are parked on the lower level; detects incoming traffic and assesses parking flow. Advises the public of parking regulations and reports parking violations to law enforcement. Informs supervisor of missing parking signs, equipment failure, needed repairs, and other general maintenance needs. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays to support year round events in Yorktown. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent with some experience assisting the public; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Must have the ability to provide quality customer service and exercise considerable tact and courtesy. General knowledge of the Yorktown area, and the ability to provide directions to local points of interest desired. Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia with satisfactory driving record. Requires an acceptable criminal background check. Supplemental Information Work is performed mostly outdoors and under varying weather conditions. Physical Demands Must be able operate a utility vehicle, be able to stand for long periods of time, and walking from one work area to another.
