Job Description:
Who We Are:The Subcontracts Group of the Purchasing Department
is responsible for the solicitation, negotiation, award,
documentation, administration, and closeout of subcontracts. The
team assists Project Managers in all phases of the
subcontract.Objectives of this Role:Perform risk-based monitoring
activities of subrecipients, and review audit reports posted on the
Federal Audit Clearinghouse.Perform trend analysis of financial
statements and document that review in writing in a clear and
concise manner in both MS Word and Excel.Reconcile reported SEFA
amounts to SwRI records each fiscal year, and work with the
subrecipient to clarify any variances.Summarize findings in a clear
and concise manner using both MS Word and Excel.Complete risk
assessment forms based on information gathered.Draft correspondence
requesting invoiced cost verification.Daily and Monthly
Responsibilities:Assist with updates to templates as needed, using
Adobe, MS Word, or Excel.Assist in gathering information from
subrecipients/subcontractors on an annual basis and reviewing files
for audit.Complete risk assessment forms based on information
gathered. Draft correspondence.Request D&B reports for entities
not subject to 2 CFR 200 single audit.Resolve issues with
subcontractors/subrecipients and/or internal staff members through
telephone, email, or direct communication, and maintain all
documentation related to that communication.Follow standard
practices for filing and record-keeping.Ensure compliance with
government regulations, corporate policies, and best
practices.Research, analyze, coordinate, develop and maintain
business documentation.Perform risk-based monitoring activities of
subrecipients, and review audit reports posted on the Federal Audit
Clearinghouse.Perform trend analysis of financial statements and
document that review in writing in a clear and concise manner in

assigned.Requirements:Requires a Bachelors in Business or related.
Master's Degree a plus.Prior work with Federal Grants or Accounting
office a Plus.0-5 years: Must possess critical thinking skills.
Must be able to document/review conclusions in writing in a clear
and concise manner.Working knowledge and experience with compliance
monitoring of subrecipients in accordance with 2 CFR 200, including
reviewing and analyzing financial statements and single audit
findings is preferred.Prior subrecipient monitoring work under
Federal grants or FAR-based prime contracts a plus. Prior
experience working in an accounting office also a plus.Experience
with personal computers.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and
advanced Word, Excel, and Adobe skills
