Description:Scope/Purpose of the Position
The inventory control specialist is responsible for inventory of
all materials used in the production of goods at the facility.
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, proper
inventory management of the ingredients and packaging materials,
maintain adequate inventory levels, sending purchase orders to
vendors, properly receiving of items into the inventory management
system, and proper management of space available at the plant. They
are also responsible for building and maintaining professional
relationships with vendors.
Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Send purchase orders to vendors for all raw materials to ensure
timely delivery to meet production schedule needs.
- Maintain proper inventory management of all raw materials and
packaging materials in plant.
- Maintain database management of the inventory system to ensure
accuracy of the following:
- Timely revision of invoices to include approval of ingredients
and packaging materials.
- Ensure accuracy of finished product sales between Bakerly Ranch
LLC and Bakerly LLC.
- Revise and ensure Bill of Materials accuracy for all products.
- Communicate effectively with quality team on all food safety or
quality issues regarding raw materials and ingredients.
- Communicate effectively with shipping and receiving team on
deliveries and discrepancies.
- Complete bi-weekly (or as needed) cycle counts of
inventory.Requirements: Job Qualification Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in inventory management
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power
Point).
- Ability to respond to continually changing priorities.
- Interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills.
- Must be able to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication
skills
- Ability to communicate with other team members and
vendors.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly using lifting techniques
provided during training.
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience in food manufacturing preferred, baking experience
preferred.
- Complies with OSHA, HAACP, and all other regulatory agencies
while also complying with Good Manufacturing Practices.
