Who We Are:Financial Data Systems supports SwRI through the development of software that is utilized by our various business groups and research divisions. Current projects include a timekeeping system for temporary agency workers, accounts payable automation, and a system for bidding projects. Work hours allow employees to flex their shift between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Additionally, employees have the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.Objectives of this Role:Working on small teams under the direction from senior staff, the employee will develop and maintain web and Windows applications for the Financial Data Systems Section.New software development is performed using C# and .NET Core, with an Oracle back end.Maintenance of legacy Visual Basic.NET applications may be requiredDaily and Monthly Responsibilities:You will aid in all phases of the software development process (requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and documenting), while developing business software solutions that are used by SwRI staff.Requirements:Requires a Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related fieldCoursework in Business Administration and/or Accounting is a plus0-5 years: Experience working in .NET is highly preferredWorking knowledge of C#, .NET Core, Visual Basic, Javascript, Bootstrap, or Oracle is a plusGood verbal and writing skills are requiredA valid/clear driver's license is requiredPDN-99192b4d-4169-4361-ab0c-d10585e94428
