Our mission is to be trusted for patient care, based on our experience and traditions, as we have since 1947.What youll do:Responsible for preparing the operating room for surgery. This includes setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.During surgery, surgical technicians assist the surgical team by utilizing aseptic technique for passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon and other team members.Responsible for maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room and taking appropriate measures to ensure integrityResponsible for monitoring the patient's vital signs during surgery, including blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation.After surgery, surgical technicians clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment and ensure that they are properly stored.Assist with transporting patients to and from the operating room and positioning them on the operating table.Responsible for maintaining accountability for instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout the surgical procedure.What youll need:Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of approved school of surgical technology or appropriate on the job training. Surgical Technologist certification preferred. Current Basic Life Support Certification.One year of related experience preferred.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Establish and maintain a professional relationship with patients, physicians, co-workers and others. Periodic pushing, pulling and lifting patients, and or equipment. Requires walking and standing throughout the entire shift while performing duties.Other duties as assigned as necessary and may vary at times, as needed, by your immediate supervisor or as directed by the company.May have exposure to patients with communicable diseases.
