Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports and records direct and indirect patient care data. -
Assists Trauma Resuscitation Unit staff with patient preparation
and treatment procedures for both acute and non-----'acute
illnesses or injuries. - Takes patients' vital signs and transports
patients to other locations as required. - Performs the functions
of the Unit clerk, including, but not limited to, clerical office
work essential to the operations of the Trauma Resuscitation Unit.
Requires a good working vocabulary of general, technical, medical,
and scientific terms. Performs assigned duties promptly and
efficiently. - Promotes positive working relationships with
co-workers, other Health System employees, patients, and the
public, in the spirit of Guest Relations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- - - - - -A high school diploma, its equivalent, or higher degree
is required. Minimum of one (1) year's experience in an ICU or ER
setting required. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider
or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card. ACLS desired.
