As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will focus on access control, where you will monitor entry and exit points, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors, employees, and delivery personnel, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This position requires driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWed06:00 AM - 10:00 AM What You’ll Do: - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites - Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education - Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams - Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service - Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: - Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit. - Assist with visitor and vehicle management, maintaining accurate logs and records as required by site-specific policies. - Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and offering directions to authorized personnel and visitors. - Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. - Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns. - Report and document any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations according to Allied Universal procedures. - Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns when appropriate. - Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to maintain a secure environment in alignment with client expectations. What We’re Looking For: - Availability across various days and shifts - Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments - A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company - Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: - A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving, in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. - A Guard Card or license is preferred. - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles. - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. - A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
