details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking an
experienced Emergency Medicine Medical Director to provide clinical
and operational leadership for a high-acuity emergency department
in San Antonio, TX . This role offers the opportunity to oversee
daily ED operations, supervise staff, and collaborate with hospital
leadership while shaping the department’s growth and excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the
emergency department. Provide clinical oversight and professional
guidance to physicians, NPs, and PAs. Ensure adherence to hospital
policies, bylaws, and quality standards. Serve as a liaison between
the ED and hospital administration. Represent the department in
community and institutional initiatives. Support operational
improvements, patient flow, and departmental efficiency.
Requirements Requirements: Board-Certified or Board-Prepared in
Emergency Medicine. Prior leadership or medical director experience
preferred. Strong clinical skills with the ability to provide
guidance and oversight to physicians, NPs, and PAs. Operational
expertise in managing emergency department workflows, staffing, and
quality standards. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
for collaboration with hospital leadership, staff, and the
community. Ability to represent the ED within the hospital and
broader healthcare community. Knowledge of EMR systems (e.g.,
Cerner FirstNet) and healthcare documentation standards. Commitment
to patient safety, quality care, and continuous departmental
