Position Summary The eICU center nurse is a member of a collaborative care team who is responsible for providing tele-nursing care to a diverse population of critically ill adults across multiple ICUs at various hospitals. This person serves as a patient advocate, and exhibits humane, compassionate ethical care. Possesses required knowledge and skills for clinical, decision support, evidence-based care, prevention and proactive continuous monitoring. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. Who We Are We are a community built on care. MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Nursing MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years of recent experience as a staff nurse in the specialty field of adult critical care. Evidence of ability to be a team player. Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Recent ICU charge nurse and/or preceptor experience. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current State of Texas license for Registered Nurse PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Current CCRN, CSC, and/or CNRN certifications REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire. AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role. LI-RR1 Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
